Family photoshoot

Lindsay and Gary's preshoot/family photoshoot

A couple of weeks ago I spent a pleasant hour with Lindsay and Gary and their family at St Paul's (a world heritage site!) in Jarrow. Fantastic weather and radiant surroundings promised to be interesting. It doubled with their pre-wedding shoot and created some beautiful family images. What a lovely family!

Pre-wedding shoot August 2013

And here's the video to prove it!

Pre-wedding shoot August 2013
Pre-wedding shoot

Seaburn. 4pm. 11th August. Tipping down. We thought it was going to be a no-go, but then Seaburn did its thing, the sun burst through and we got to work using the fab scenery and sky to create some beautiful pre-wedding images for Claire and Mick. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a natural and photogenic couple-superstars!

Recent activity

It's been very quiet here recently... BUT.....watch this space. Have a look at what's been happening recently at Jillian Dixon Photography. Pre-weddings shoots, weddings, parties, barbies (oops thats just my social life... wrong place!)

Under the veil

I found a great events blog with an interesting article about "Questions to ask my...."
Full of helpful things when you just don't quite know what you should be asking your florist, photographer (nudge, nudge that could be me :-)  ) or your caterer etc...

PS: I can confidently answer all of the photographer questions and this comes only from experience and a rapport with a host of clients. Just saying...

Check out the new blogsite. Unfortunately it will make this one a little redundant, but I think it's worth it. Let me know what you think-all suggestions listened to and considered!

Alnmouth, August

Getting up at 4 in the morning to set up the perfect sunrise shot isn't for me. I'm an exponent of "What you can do at 11am with one lens", especially when it follows a hilarious beach barbecue in the darkness and ghostly goings on at the Schooner...excellent weekend's work!

I'm back!!!

After a long enforced absence, I'm back. I was coaxed back to wedding photography by my lovely friends Mark and Gill and photographed t...
