Crab Manor, 28.05.09

Yesterday Jamie and I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the marriage of Craig and Louise at Crab Manor, Thirsk. Louise had told me to expect something a little different, so I was really looking forward to the quirky and eclectic nature of the venue. I wasn't disappointed-probably the most unusual wedding venue I've ever seen! There were little surprises around every corner, and Jamie and I spent a wonderful hour capturing images before the wedding party had even arrived.

The day was perfect in every way-beautiful weather, beautiful, friendly happy people and perfect chips. (They should add that to the sign at the entrance!)

Blue skies all day for the soon to be Mr and Mrs Daglish.

Just one of the small surprises in the conservatory where the marriage ceremony took place.

Louise and Ellie preparing for the day.

First kiss- Mr and Mrs Daglish!

A beautiful bridesmaid.

Champagne flowed...

Getting romantic in the Bora Bora Suite

An unexpected gift...

...and a well-deserved kiss for a very thoughtful husband.

Thanks to the Daglish and Walpole families for a totally wonderful day.

It was our pleasure recently to present Chris McGuigan with her prize from the contact form draw at Beamish Park Hotel on 10th May. Beamish Park is a lovely venue with warm helpful staff, and the wedding fair was a total pleasure to attend. Congratulations, Chris from all at Jillian Dixon Photography. Don't forget that we're offering 20% off all package prices at Jillian Dixon Photography when booked before the end of July. Happy wedding planning!

When the weather is fine...you know it's the time...for messing about on the river...and there's nowhere nicer to do that than Mill Dam in South Shields on a sunny Monday evening. I finally got out to take some landscape shots...you know...freezing cold, waiting for the light in a howling gale with the jetty screeching like a banshee and the concrete shuddering beneath your feet...Oh and a winning smile from your rusty seagoing mate...there's nothing like it!

There's been a lot going on at Jillian Dixon Photography recently, hence the silence on the blog front! Lots of wedding preshoots, engagement portraits and wedding fairs have kept us so busy that the web has had to wait. We have weddings coming up at some beautiful venues with beautiful couples and very happy photographers! Watch this space. Here are some recent images from preshoots, weddings and Kiki's Kabin to occupy the eyes.
