The Dam

Just back from a trip to "The Dam" with the hubby. DFDS excelled themselves with a Commodore De Luxe upgrade (eventually) and some R and R followed. Some interesting photo opportunities presented themselves in this space...but till then, and until my stomach settles after the North Sea presented a Force 5-7 on the return, here's one of my favourite views of South Shields Pier and Lighthouse.

Anne and Davey - 22nd August.

Saturday in South Shields began in a cloudy, wet sort of way, but soon the sun burst through, which was just as well, as it was the wedding of Anne and Davey at St Peter and St Paul RC Church. We were pleased to be asked to attend as the couple's photographers and Anne and her Mam's make-up artist. We'd like to say thank you to Anne and Davey and their lovely families for having us and making us welcome, and we hope you like this very small preview of your wedding photos.

All of the elements are in place for a fabulous wedding...fresh, unusual flowers,

Anne's engagement ring nestles in her gorgeous bouquet.

Lovely shoes.

A beautiful bride!

The groom and his groomsmen.

Love this one...Ashley's foul deed for the day!

Josh...Anne's older son and a young man with an important job to do.

James...Anne's younger son...looking smart as a dart.

Two very important and well-loved ladies...Anne's Mam

Davey's Mam

Anne and Diane arrive at the church looking radiant and calm.

Josh carried off the most important job of the day with aplomb.

The sun shone down on the service at St Peter and St Paul.

The new Mr and Mrs McGarey leave the church.

A happy couple en route to the reception.

A short detour for some romance in the park...steady on, you two!

Diane- the best-dressed waitress in Shields!

Getting arty with mirrors.

The bride and groom enjoyed the best man's speech...

Smile everyone!

Today I had the pleasure of assisting Jamie at the preshoot of Katie and Jamie. We met this lovely couple and their equally lovely family and best man Craig at the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick, to try out some shots and poses for their wedding in the famous Olympic Room of the hotel later in the year. We practised couple shots, group shots and the grand entrance,as well as some model poses for Katie, whose beautiful red hair looked stunning against a conveniently placed red door, and it's looking good for some fabulous shots on the big day. I'm sure you'll agree!

A Corker of a day

Wednesday 25th July. Bright, beautiful Beamish (well nearly). I arrived at South Causey Inn  for the wedding of Melanie and Anthony to quite...
