Matfen magic

While the rest of the North East was struggling under intermittent downpours, Matfen Hall created its own special microclimate for the wedding of Mark and Ruth. It was a day of elegance, quirkiness, tears, laughter, eclectic music choices and joy, and we were privileged to share in it. The daytime grandeur gave way to beautiful gentle evening sunshine and the guests happily played quoits, croquet, skittles and an unusual game with sticks which the Swedish contingent seemed to understand better than the rest of us!
